How do I become a member of Grace Church?

The Lord adds to the Church such as should be saved (Acts 2:47).

The saved are identified as those who ...

1. Verbally (with the mouth) confess that Jesus is Lord.

2. Believe in their hearts that Jesus was raised from the dead (Rom. 10:9-10).

   • Confirm their confession and faith through baptism: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:16).”

Membership in the church is limited to those who, in willful obedience to their Lord and Savior, confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God ( Matt. 16:13-19) .

Grace Church requires that each person desiring membership . . .

1. Meet with the Elders of the Church
2. Assent to the (link) Declaration of the Faith and Practice of Grace Church.(link)
3. Be publicly presented to the assembled congregation.

4. "Amen" (answer Yes to) the following questions:

   • Do your heartily believe the doctrines of Scripture taught at Grace Church?
   • Do you seek eternal life, not in yourself, but only in the righteousness of Jesus Christ?
   • Do you confess that you believe God's promise of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, which is signified by baptism?
   • Have you confessed Christ in water baptism as a believer?
   • Do you declare that you love the Lord, and that it is your heartfelt desire to serve Him?
